# What is "Hands In"? [#what-is-hands-in]

Hands In is a payments platform that helps businesses of all sizes take split payments through multiple cards, groups, and instalments online. The platform provides a single API that companies can use to connect to a wide range of payment providers, including PSPs, and alternative payment methods.

Hands In also offers a range of split payment methods that help businesses recover card declines due to insufficient funds and drive incremental revenue:

* **Multi Card Payments** - Provides your customers with the ability to split a payment over multiple debit or credit cards.
* **Group Payments** - Provides your customers with the ability to split a payment with friends or family.

# Get started with Hands In [#get-started-with-hands-in]

To begin using Hands In, follow these steps:

1. **[Account setup](/docs/guides/getting-started/setup-your-account)** - Learn how to set up your Hands In account, connect your payment processor(s), configure your brand settings and take your first payment.
2. **Integration** - Hands In provides multiple ways to integrate with your existing systems. You can get started with using our:
   * **Payment Links (No Code)** - Hands In provides payment links that can be sent in emails or other to invoice customers quickly and easily.
   * **Hosted Payment Page (No Code)** - Hands In provides a secure, customizable checkout experience that seamlessly integrates with your existing website or app. This feature supports all of our split payment methods, providing greater customer flexibility.
   * **Embedded Payment Fields (Low Code)** - Hands In provides fully customizable payment fields which can be directly embedded on your existing website or mobile app keeping your brand and styling consistent.
   * **[Direct API (Only Code)](/docs/guides/getting-started/quickstart)** - Hands In provides an SDK (*for select programming languages*) or an API (universal) for a completely seamless and direct integration.
